Potter post.

This morning Potter and I went exploring some new locations for shoots and it was lovely being out and about. She is so good and never strays to far-she just follows me around and I love that. I taught her to ’sit’ last week and after a few attempts she totally got it, and now sit’s whenever I ask, even before I put down her food. Last night we went over to some friends who used to have a Dalmation and so they LOVE her and they were really impressed with her ’sitting’ at just 10 weeks old. She had a busy week last week and met so many new people, she is pleased to meet people which I love, her little tail wags constantly. We start puppy classes in May so hopefully she can make some furry friends too. Anyway here she is exploring and clearly I wore her out as you can see from the photo after. Nx

Potter and I are falling out.
Saturday, April 18th, 2009
So Potter has turned in to an absolute monkey. This evening we had our biggest falling out to date; it wasn’t pretty. I’d like to say I won but I think she would say otherwise. I just can’t wait until she can go for walks and then I can tire her out-I am counting down the days. I have had to install a grate for the back of my car as she figured out how to climb over the back-seat this week, I thought she wouldn’t be big enough to do that for a while but sure enough, the other day while driving she scrambled over the top. Lucky for her she is darn cute. Here is a picture of her doing what she does a lot. I often come out of my office to find her sitting like this.

Samantha & Nigel: Wedding
Sunday, April 12th, 2009
Yesterday saw the start of wedding season-from here it’s pretty chaotic. I found myself feeling really anxious the night before, it felt a little like how it felt the night before term began after the holidays. Anyway it got off to a fab start. It was a year ago that I met Samantha and she booked Hope for her wedding but the wedding was every bit like she described. The day flew by and thankfully stayed dry, all the guests were lovely and I really enjoyed myself. Potter had puppy sitters, who worked in shifts. I got home and my Dad seemed a little stressed-I think the novelty of Potter has worn off for him. I don’t think he realised when he offered just how much attention she needs. So if anyone out there fancies Potter sitting you’re more than welcome-I wish I could claim she is house trained, or that she wont try and chew the bottom of your trousers (which makes walking tricky) and maybe leave a few teeth marks on your hands however I can say that her antics will make you laugh and when she is sleepy she is very cuddly. And I will provide cake. I am still making my way through the photographs from yesterday but have picked out a handful to begin with. I met the girls at Synergy hair salon in Harrogate, a relatively unknown salon on Park Parade which I have to say were fabulous. Nx
Miss Potter is so BIG!

I swear I wake up each day now and wonder where Potter went! She is changing so much. I haven’t posted any pictures of her for a while so snapped a few this morning. I am not sure from these shots if you can tell just how much she has grown. She is still asleep on my lap but only just, though I take comfort knowing where she is because she is chewing anything she can find, I know toddlers are hard work but at least they don’t chew yours shoes. x
Too easy…
Wednesday, April 8th, 2009
So with clients that look like this my job is just too easy. Things are really busy here, I have no idea where time is going. I can’t believe I have had Potter a week today-I can’t imagine life without her now. She is perfect… so full of character. She is very affectionate and always wants to be with you and prefers to sleep close to you, always putting her head on my arm or leg. And as I wrote that she came tottering in to my office, jumped up at my leg which roughly translates as please pick me up so I can sleep on your knee. There will be a day in the not so distant future that she will be to big to sleep on my lap so until then I am going to make the most of it. There are several places she could sleep, even the sofa, but still she chooses to balance herself on my lap-like I said she is perfect, I struck gold, I really did. Nx
