Personal.

September 22nd, 2009 - No Responses

It’s been a long time since I posted anything personal, probably because it’s been a long time (I confess!) since I have taken my camera out for pleasure. Wedding season is now over (phew!) so now I have some time to shoot for pleasure, not to say I don’t enjoy every wedding but it’s very different to photographing my personal life. Sunday was such an amazing blue autumnal day and I had the best day I have had in months and was ridiculously relaxed. We went brambling which of course led to baking a crumble, and then eating the crumble (for both lunch and supper). The only down side was that Potter got stung by a wasp and cost me another vets bill because it turns out she is allergic to wasps. Thankfully she is back to her normal self again this morning. Anyway here are a few shots of my perfect day and my favourite people.

An awfully long time.

All good here, though as usual I am behind with my blogging. I have just got back from a wonderful sunny holiday and have also moved house, but rather randomly into a holiday cottage until my new home is complete so it’s been an unsettled couple of weeks. My desk is now in boxes and I have so much to do but hey ho. Potter is still with the lady she stays with when I am away and I collect her in the morning which is good because I really missed her this time. I missed walking her and how healthy it makes me feel being out there in the fresh air. Wedding season is nearly over and bookings are coming in steady away for 2010 so it’s crazy that it won’t be long before the season begins again. Everything changes and nothing changes. Here are a few shots of a recent wedding-Claire and Paul were a pleasure to photograph and be around. You may remember them from a pre-wed with their dog Arca. Arca made an appearance at the church and amazingly even posted Potter some bones this week-how spoilt is she!!

My most recent couple, they are both the nicest people and were such a pleasure to be with.

Getting ready: Claire Forrester

Claire was a lovely bride and made me feel incredibly welcome. I am a little behind with my weddings (and my blogging!) but here are a couple of Claire getting ready and also a photograph of her son, who was incredibly handsome and loved the camera which meant he gave me a gorgeous big grin whenever I was around him-as you can see.

Playing catch up

It’s been a long time since I blogged. I am still here. I have been away sunning myself on a Greek island, which was so relaxing but now I am home and I have a ton of work to catch up on. I am behind on posting some recent weddings but here are a few from a recent pre-wedding shoot. I can’t wait to photograph Jo and Rachel’s wedding next weekend, they are such a gorgeous couple-as you will be able to see from the photographs. Other than that I do have lots to share but am holding off for now. On the Potter front she is fine, 6 months old next week. She is rather subdued today however as I think she is missing the 2 big labs she spent her time with when I was away, I just couldn’t cope with putting her in to kennels. She loves dogs and I am thinking I am rather poor substitute to her right now.

Happiness.

My favourite moments from a recent wedding.

Hardly a work day.

It’s been a busy couple of days, weddings and pre-wed shoots have filled my weekend. This afternoon I photographed a couple who’s wedding is in August and I was really excited as Arca, their dog was to feature in the shoot. I took Potter along to meet Arca and play and it was a lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon, not many people get to take their dogs along to work. They played madly and it was so lovely to see, Arca is a gorgeous dog and was happy to be followed around by Potter (not that she had much choice!). Here is my instant favourite from the shoot.
